AboutKnistr is an experiment trying to answer the question whether we can turn the current site-centric web into a content-centric one. On Knistr you can share and connect anything you want. Recipes, photos, lists of favorite songs, friends, coding advice, reviews, items for sale, anything. Unlike a site for a dedicated topic, e.g., recipes, on Knistr you just post it and let it be found. Just like Gmail's email archive is more effective for finding old email than it is to sort emails manually into folders, we claim with Knistr that the same can be true for the general web: instead of users going to the right place to share something, i.e., the content following the structure, on Knistr the structure follows the content. Just post something and say what it is! It will automatically show up on any lists created for this kind of thing, and anyone can create more specific lists. Learn more.Knistr has been tested on Firefox 3.6+ and Chrome 10+. On Safari, IE, and other browsers some features will not work, incl. file upload via drag&drop. Getting StartedLog in using your Google account by clicking the icon in the top right corner. Schema: Browse the existing classes and properties or create new ones. From here you can easily explore the existing data by their type. For example: look for the class "User", right-click it and choose "explore". This will show you all current users on knistr. Create a List: Formulate a complex query to retrieve just what you are looking for. Once you have found it you can subscribe to updates to your query or create a new post from the result. For instance, find all "Posts" that have Christian Fritz as their "owner". On the results page you will be able to subscribe to this query, which will be like "following" Christian: you'll receive email about any new posts or files created by him in real-time.
